Full course description
These modules will assist whole-school communities in cultivating skills for self-care, trauma-sensitivity, and for navigating moments of crisis, uncertainty, overwhelm, fear, and anxiety. In offering mindfulness, mental fitness, and focused attention practices in educational settings,there is an opportunity to support existing SEL programs and provide tools for calming the nervous system. In addition to cultivating present-moment awareness, these modules also
support collective resourcing for personal and inter-personal safety and human connection.
Beyond simply bringing attention to an anchor, or engaging in intentional self-care practices,
relational mindfulness invites us into global citizenship, not just as witnesses to our own
experiences, but as active participants in the lives of those around us.
