Full course description

We all have implicit biases, and because school systems are human systems, we must examine all of our work closely. We must check ourselves and one another for implicit bias, slow down our decision making, and identify processes, structures, and policies that may hurt or help learners based on some part of his/her identity. Whether we're designing learning environments through UDL, supporting behavior through PBIS, or building learner resilience through Developmental Relationships, we can step more deeply into our intentionality around all of this work by examining the ways implicit bias that hinder our efforts.
